MLM Leadership - The Right Way

One thing is certain, if you want to become a successful Networker you must learn to lead others.

Now I understand there are many forms or definitions of Leadership. I am concerned about what it means in the context of Networking.

Here Leaders must lead by example. If you are unwilling to do what you ask someone in your organization to do, don't expect the respect you need to lead others. There is a truism about MLM and it is – you have no employees. So if you do not lead by example then it will be hard to get your team to follow you.

Leaders in MLM need to be Motivational in nature. Again this stems from the fact that as Independent Distributors we cannot force our teammates to do anything that they do not care to do. Knowing just how to motivate different types of people is a positive in MLM.

Learning this leadership comes from being a good follower of your Mentor and hopefully this person is one of your successful Uplines. Become a student of what works for your Mentor.

And since MLM is unlike other business where your Upline (in the business world, could be considered a boss) cares about your success. Because your success means he/she will earn more income as a result. This makes it very important just who your Uplines are and what types of training they can offer you.

You see you are in business for yourself but not by yourself. A good Network realizes that the success of other distributors can ultimately reflect on them and encourage prospects to join a thriving team of winning Distributors. And leadership is the key to all successful Networking.

So Just how does one gain the ability to be a leader. One, work with your mentor. Two, go out of your way to attended and later conduct trainings. All good leaders work at training their team. Three, be a doer, work at and hone your skills.

And finally lead. Meaning to say do not let others force you to do what they want. Leaders lead. And many times that leadership can be challenge by others wanting to do something counter productive. It is your duty as a leader to guide others away from harmful practices. In other words- do not be a Pushover.

Working at your ability to lead will get you there. And as your organization grows so should your skill set grow to handle more.
